Chernihiv Higher Vocational School of Consumer Services is a municipal institution of vocational education of the third certification level, which ensures the realisation of the right of citizens to receive vocational education, complete general secondary education and the educational qualification degree of a professional junior bachelor.

Our school was founded on 22 December 1972 as Technical School №.15 in Chernihiv. In two years it was reorganised into Secondary Vocational School №9. In 2002, Vocational School №9 was reorganised into the Higher Vocational School of Consumer Services and in 2006 into the State Vocational Educational Institution "Chernihiv Higher Vocational School of Consumer Services".

Chernihiv Higher Vocational School of Consumer Services is a modern institution with favourable conditions for learning, creativity and mental comfort, where young people gain in-depth knowledge in their field, and qualified teachers who are interested in the development of their students are always ready to help and support them.

School life is not only a high-quality educational process, but also an interesting and useful leisure time: amateur performances, volunteer work, clubs, sports sections, creative educational activities, meetings, excursions, master classes, competitions, contests - and, of course, victories.

Crossing the threshold of the vocational school, you can feel the care for each teacher, student, and member of the workforce. We have created comfortable conditions for studying, living, communication and active leisure activities. The administration of the school, together with the staff, is constantly working to improve the material and technical base to make learning and work a pleasure.

Classrooms are equipped with computer equipment and are connected to the Internet, the conditions for quality and effective learning are created.

The training workshops for sewing, hairdressing, make-up, tourism and floristry are equipped with modern equipment, technical devices, computer technologies, and conditions for high-quality mastery of professions are being created.

The vocational school has a very strong, high-quality pedagogical staff. There are more than 60 teachers, of whom more than 40 have teaching titles and extensive experience.

• Make-up artist. Make-up artist-stylist (1 year)
• Travel agent. Administrator (1 year 3 months)
• Florist (1 year)

Professional junior bachelor (on the basis of vocational education in the relevant profession; free of charge):

• Light industry technologies (1 year 6 months)
• Beauty services (1 year 6 months)

The vocational school has two training and practical centres:

• Centre of Modern Sewing Technologies and Design "Fashion Empire"
• Centre of Hairdressing and Decorative Cosmetics

The training and practical centres are the cells of everything modern - equipment, technologies, advanced pedagogical and production experience.

The training and practical centres of modern sewing technologies and design provide training, retraining and advanced training for students using the latest technologies and modern materials, equipment and tools.

The main task is to connect the vocational education institution with enterprises, manufacturers, employers, and specialists in the clothing and beauty industry to accelerate the transfer of information about the latest advanced technologies and their implementation in the educational process and production.

To improve the experience of masters and students, the training centres hold master classes, advanced training courses, author seminars, etc.

The vocational school has a potential advantage - a good dormitory. Every new academic year, it hospitably opens its doors to students not only from the region but from all over Ukraine. How nice it is when after studying you return to a cosy dormitory, where teachers and group leaders take care of you. It has everything for a convenient and useful relaxing, comfortable living and fun leisure time. Of course, the dormitory would not be so great without its residents.
